Crews spent about 40 minutes at an Affleck Street home after a blaze involving a barbecue.
Superintendent Frank Finlay said more people were cooking outdoors during warmer weather.

"Make sure there are no leaks and do checks on cylinders," he said.
Soapy water can be used to check connections for gas leaks.
Fire and Rescue NSW urges people to have extinguishers nearby, keep areas near barbecues clear, and to follow fire ban regulations.
