Fawns was picked in the Super Netball club's first academy program last year, aged just 15, and has spent time in camp with the NSW outfit.
The Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes goal attack is one of 22 players in the 2021 squad who the Swifts believe are capable of reaching the highest level.
NSW Swifts Assistant Coach and Academy Performance Manager Anita Keelan said it was a rigorous selection process.
"The Swifts have a very proud history and we feel each of the Academy athletes selected has what it takes to make it at the highest level," Keelan said.
"The Academy ensures the Swifts have a continued direct pathway link to local talent, who can learn from the best national and international players we also have at the club."
The majority of players in the squad are from Sydney and metropolitan regions and the Swifts say they'll underpin the rostered players and training partners in their senior squad.
Fawns was also recently selected in Netball Australia's under-17 Centre of Excellence squad.
