The portable ring of jumps and curves is open to all members of the public to go for a spin on bikes, scooters, skateboards and more as part of NSW government's Places to Love program.

Installed this week behind the Visitor Information Centre on Tarcutta Street, Council's Visitor Economy and Events Coordinator Fiona Hamilton said it was all about reinvigorating Wagga's public spaces.

"It's arrived just in time for the summer holidays, so we encourage all kids and families to come down and give it a go," she said.

Ms Hamilton said it is one of several activations planned for the city as part of the Places to Love program.

"The Places to Love demonstration project is a partnership between NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment and six councils across NSW, with Wagga the only regional city included in the pilot project," she said.

The $40,000 pump track is planned to make appearances around the city and at various public events.

"It gives us the versatility to install it temporarily on different sites to be part of local events and to activate spaces," Ms Hamilton said.

"It will all help to get people out and about and generate that foot traffic near the CBD."
