The sale was held at "Ivydell" and also utilised the online selling platform of Elite Livestock Auctions.
In the female section Daryl Hazelwood of Platinum Angus, Pipers River, Tasmania paid $17,000 for Irelands Vicky H359 PV HBR. The purchase was made by Nutrien Stud Stock Manager, NSW, Tim Woodham on the Hazelwood's behalf.
The auction netted around $1.75 million, and the matter as to how and when the creditors receive money is before the NSW Supreme Court with Westpac Banking Corporation vs IFTT Pty Ltd (the Ireland Family Trust) listed for a two-day hearing on February 8 and 9 2021 before Justice Sackar.
The sale was conducted by Ray White Rural of Albury for receivers' KPMG. Irelands Angus principal Corey Ireland is facing fraud charges and is set to appear in Wagga Local Court on December 9.
