Wagga Highway Patrol were alerted to a complaint of multiple people getting about on a ride-on lawn mower along Cowabbie Street, Coolamon just before 1am on Sunday morning.
Police found a 17-year-old male behind the wheel of the lawn mower on the footpath, towing a trailer with two young people on board.
Travelling at a speed of between 5-10km/h, the driver was stopped and subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result for alcohol.
In other news:
Police arrested the 17-year-old and took him to Coolamon Police Station for a second breath analysis.
He was subsequently issued with an infringement notice for special category driver drive with special range Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol.
His NSW class C P1 provisional drivers licence was suspended by Police.
