Tumut president Bryan Black is leading the charge to switch from playing primarily on Sundays.
Black believes it is the way forward for clubs.
"I think it is the way Group Nine should go," Black said.
"It's to do with player welfare mainly and I think it is easier on clubs as you are going to get a lot more people coming to games."
Black has forwarded a motion which will be discussed and then voted on at the Group Nine annual general meeting on Sunday.
He believes having Sunday as a recovery day before players have to return to work on Monday will be a massive boost.
"Players bust their arse for 80 minutes, are stiff and sore and then have to go home, go to bed and get up and go to work," Black said.
"With that day's break they can do some recovery sessions and then go to work the day after."
For the first time this year more Saturday games were played on Sundays during the shortened COVID-19 season.
However Black doesn't believe restrictions in place could show the full positive impact of the change.
To make the change work Black wants to see the Group Nine Junior League shift to Sundays.
"It has happened in other groups and I think it is the way it needs to happen here," he said.
"I think from each club's point of view they can see the benefits in it and Group Nine has to step up and tell juniors they have to move or deal with it."
The age groups of the Sullivan and Weissel Cups is also on the agenda again with different proposals to retain the current under 16s and under 18s as well as revert back to under 17s and under 19s, which was applied for the 2019 season, on the agenda.
The Blues want to keep the status quo.
"They just have to stick to one age group," Black said.
"You can't keep chopping and changing as it suits two or three teams."
Cootamundra's involvement in the season will be the other hot topic of discussion with the Bulldogs considering not entering a first grade team after sitting out the 2020 season.
