Jennifer Louise Hay appeared before Wagga Local Court via video link on Wednesday.
The Tolland resident was charged with murder this year after a 15-month police investigation.
The fire claimed the life of 36-year-old Kylie Green, who was inside a Tichborne Crescent home with another woman at the time.
The other woman made it out safely, but Ms Green was trapped inside. Investigators later said the fire had been deliberately lit.
Police allege the 47-year-old set fire to a lounge at the front of the home, which spread to the house, and fled.
The matter has been adjourned until 2021, with a case conference due to take place on January 20.
