Emergency services were called to a property east of Daysdale about 4pm on Tuesday following reports of an accident involving a header.
Officers from Murray River Police District attended and commenced inquiries.
On arrival, they found the man had suffered fatal head injuries.

The tractor driver, a 54-year-old man, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
