Eckersley's Art & Craft will open on Baylis Street on December 4, the company has revealed to The Daily Advertiser.
The shop will fill the space left by retail chain Riot Art & Craft after it closed down all of its stores, including Wagga, when the company went into liquidation in October.
Maria Ludden, the marketing manager, said they received a huge number of emails, phone calls and petitions showing support for a store in Wagga.
"There is a large creative community in Wagga and the surrounding areas, which we received a huge number of requests from asking us to open a store," she said.
"They expressed how they didn't have any art and craft stores for them to shop from within a couple of hours.
"The residents of Wagga and surrounding areas really advocated us coming and their need for an Eckersley's Art & Craft store."
The Australian owned and operated company started in 1965 and has grown to 26 locations, with the Baylis location to make 27.
"We look forward to welcoming the creative community into our new Wagga store in a COVID-safe way," Ms Ludden said.
