Warren Clunes excelled at the top of the order after being elevated to opener with Brayden Ambler on representative duties, making 49.
Blues captain Luke Gerhard finished things off, posting an unbeaten 51 in the five-wicket victory.
With more than 14 overs in hand, Gerhard was pleased to come way with victory.
"It was pleasing to get the end result," Gerhard said.
"We had a couple of people out but it gave the younger guys an opportunity and they really stood up."
Lake Albert captain Isaac Cooper (38) got his side off to a fast start but the Bulls struggled to find anyone to bat with Jacson Sommerville for an extended period.
Sommerville finished unbeaten on 72 as the tail order tried to fight off the Blues.
After having the Bulls at 7-107 not being able to find the killer blow with the ball is one thing Gerhard is looking to work on.
"The last couple of weeks we've struggled to bowl teams out early and finish the job so it is an area we need to improve on," he said.
However Gerhard was impressed with debutant Connor McGinn who took 2-17 with 10 straight overs of his off spin.
"He bowled very well actually," he said.
"To have kids like that but able to step up into first grade, bowl 10 overs straight and do his job is very pleasing."
Chase Grintell finished with the best figures taking 3-29 off his 10 overs while Gerhard snared two wickets in his four-over spell.
