Elwin confirmed he will return to the Dragons in 2021 this week.
The former captain-coach played with Junee this year after the Dragons withdrew from the competition.
However with Temora looking to re-enter Group Nine next year it was a short stay.
Co-coach Chris Wallace is pleased to have so many familiar faces already commit to helping the Dragons get on the field.
"At this stage we are fairly sure they are all back," Wallace said.
Forwards are definitely their focus as they look to bring in more talent to help the club get on the field.
"Now that we have some good halves and Hamish Starr is back at fullback and I think Jock Ward will commit again we definitely need to find some two big fellas up front," Wallace said.
"With Kris Rands we can have a three-way rotation."
Wallace and McCrone will co-coach their hometown club in 2021.
Wallace was given the coaching role this season before COVID put an end to things and has unfinished business with the club.
"I decided to do it again as we missed out last season," Wallace said. "Hopefully we can attract a few especially with Josh McCrone and Sam Elwin in the halves hopefully that can attract a few players."
Luke Skidmore could be one forward to add to their rotation.
He was set to travel from Canberra to play in 2020 that didn't extend past the West Wyalong Knockout.
"Most guys from last year who played in the West Wyalong Knockout are here again," Wallace said.
"We are talking to Luke Skidmore on Sunday and I think he is going to go around again."
Temora were one of two clubs to sit out the season due to coronavirus concerns, while Albury were withdrawn late due to border concerns.
However Wallace is confident it was not only the right move for the club at the time but will provide plenty of benefits going forward.
"I think it has freshened everyone up a bit and they are all keen," he said.
"A couple of the older fellas had a year off and are keen to go again and a couple of boys who went to different clubs are excited to come back.
"That is good as we were a bit worried when it did happen but I think they've realised Temora is a pretty good place to play and they've all committed straight away.
"It has been good."
The prospect of a bumper harvest is another boost.
"Having the year off financially the club is in a good position," Wallace said.
"We've been able to save a bit of money and the crops are looking good this year and that is our main money raiser."
