Resuming with wins in the heat and final of Griffith's feature earlier this month, Forever Yin has drawn seven of eight in a three-year-old race at on Saturday.
However with his racing pattern, reinsman Blake Jones isn't overly concerned with the draw.
"It doesn't really matter where he draws," Jones said.
"Obviously you would prefer to draw in a bit closer but it isn't the end of the world for him as he doesn't have too much gate speed and he is better with a sit."
Jones is looking to use the run in the build up for the Vicbred heats, which will be held at Ballarat on December 11.
"It is a pretty good race but there wasn't too much around here for him so we decided to go there to get a bit more fitness under him before he has to go down for the Vicbred," Jones said.
Stablemate Rocky Branach will also make the trip.
He's drawn much better in two but faces a big rise in class for his first-up assignment.
"His work has been pretty good and he trialled good last week and he should get a pretty good run," Jones said.
"He'll pop straight on the fence behind the one and if it is not leading I'd say it would be leaders back and three fence at Menangle isn't a bad spot, especially if they are rolling along a bit."
