The Bulls have won one of their three matches so far this season and head into the tough test at Rawlings Park off the back off a heavy loss to Wagga RSL.
Cooper is looking for a more all-round performance.
"We're a bit inconsistent," Cooper said.
"We're good in patches and then drop off in patches so we need to be a bit more consistent."
The Bulldogs eased past their total of 9-113 last week, after only three Bulls made double figures.
Of those Adam Newcombe (45) will miss the clash with the Blues.
Nathan Brookes, who took five wickets in Lake Albert's only win so far, is also out.
However with Cooper and Trent Charlton back in the side
South Wagga's batting depth will be tested with Brayden Ambler and Jake Scott both away with Riverina representative duties.
