With 62 and 53 in his last two innings, the Wagga RSL opener has scored almost as many runs this season as he did for all of last season.
The 24-year has enjoyed being able to focus more on his game.
"I didn't go real well last year so it is good to finally score some runs and not get out after getting myself in," Morley said.
"Not playing footy all year has made me enjoy my cricket a bit more and realise how good it is.
"I'm having a lot more fun with it. I'm trying to be a bit more confident with my batting, stress less about it and it seems to be paying off so hopefully I can get some runs this weekend and keep it going."
Especially as Morley is also looking to extend his perfect record against his former club.
"I haven't actually lost a game to them yet as we beat them all three times last year," he said.
Wagga RSL have won two of their three matches so far.
Captain Sam Perry rated their eight-wicket win over Lake Albert last week as their best in years and the Bulldogs are looking to keep their place in the top three up against a Colts outfit yet to taste success so far.
"On paper we can definitely match it with any of the teams and hopefully we can end up with a top three spot at least," Morley said.
However Kooringal will be boosted by the return of Hamish Starr.
After making an impact with both bat and ball in his first match for the club, Starr missed last week and captain Keenan Hanigan hopes his return can spark the side.
"He is a massive in for us and he will provide good pace when he opens the bowling and is a handy batter as well," Hanigan said.
Hanigan is looking for a more complete performance at Wagga Cricket Ground.
"We are making it hard for ourselves now by losing but we just have to go in confident against RSL and find the win somehow," he said.
"It's about putting a full game together now as we know we can bowl well and bat well but putting into one game is our issue at the moment."
Starr comes into the side for Alex Smith while Wagga RSL will give Charlie Cull until Friday evening to prove his fitness after injuring his side taking win wickets last week.
Regardless he won't bowl with Matt O'Neill back in for the clash at Robertson Oval.
