However captain Beck Frostick is confident they are closing in on the right result.
After two washouts to start the season, Saints have fallen short against Wagga RSL and South Wagga in the past fortnight.
With a clash against premiers Wagga City at McPherson Oval things don't get any easier but the Englishman believes there is still a good feeling within the club despite sitting on the bottom of the ladder.
"We've been very close in the last few weeks and it is just a matter of getting a few more runs, taking our catches and we will be there," Frostick said.
"We are not far away."
Sent in by the Blues last week, Frostick wasn't too disappointed after the side recovered from 6-55 to post 8-154 in the seven-wicket loss.
"I think the wicket played a little bit into South Wagga's favour early doors," he said.
"It was very wet to start with and it eased throughout the day.
"South Wagga played a very good game but it was a credit to our boys down the order who got us to a decent score.
"On that pitch we thought it would be competitive and it showed at the end as we weren't too far away."
St Michaels head into the clash unchanged.
