A home on Lakeside Drive, Lake Albert, was broken into at 9pm on Monday while a mother and her 25-year-old daughter were home.
The home's CCTV footage captured the incident where two men entered, spending up to an hour on the property before leaving with a handbag, car keys and electronic devices.
Officers from the Riverina Police District were alerted to the incident and began investigations, with Detective Inspector Adrian Telfer reporting they had since made an arrest
"[On Tuesday] we were able to identify and arrest a 22-year-old man from Ashmont," he said.
The man was arrested in Lake Albert before being taken to Wagga Police Station where he was refused bail to appear in Wagga Local Court the same day.
"He was charged over the alleged break and enter on Monday, and another break and enter offence where the residents were also home last week in Kooringal," Detective Inspector Telfer said.

The second man pictured in CCTV footage from the Lake Albert home is still outstanding.
Detective Inspector Telfer said the incident was a clear example of how useful CCTV footage can be for a private residence.
"That footage was pivotal in this regard," he said.
"There were also some other offences committed shortly after the break and enter though at a number of businesses in Wagga, and we could electronically track that alleged offender as well."
