The two children, a 10-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl, were airlifted to Wagga Base Hospital from Griffith on Sunday at 6.00pm.

A spokesperson for the Murrumbidgee Local Health District said both were in a serious but stable condition on Monday afternoon.

The 10-year-old girl remains at Wagga Base Hospital, whilst the 10-year-old boy has been airlifted to Sydney Children's Hospital this afternoon for further treatment.

The family gathering in the western Riverina turned into the stuff of nightmares after a jumping castle with children blew away, dropping kids from high in the air before landing hundreds of metres away.

Emergency services rushed to Tabbita, north of Griffith, just after 2pm on Sunday when they received reports of a jumping castle with children inside taking off in the wind near Tabbita, north of Griffith.

Three Ambulance NSW crews from Griffith responded to the horror incident and a Toll rescue helicopter was also tasked to the area.
