Once again the mercy rule was applied with the Warriors scoring their seventh run in the bottom of the fifth inning, making the required margin for the game to be called early.
The Saints batted first, but were soon out in the field after a quick three dismissals, the last of which was a fine catch by left-fielder Layhnee Kearnes.
The Warriors' corresponding innings produced hits to Montana Kearnes, sister, Layhnee and Kimberley Dennis which allowed Kristy Tennison and the Kearnes girls to score runs.
In the Saints second innings, a fine double-play effected by star of the match Layhnee Kearnes, and a K-2 from Montana Kearnes shut out the Saints for a second time.
Saints started the bottom of the second innings well dismissing Jess Grant and Jacinta Parmenter, but hits to
the Warriors' Jess Swaysland and Tennison helped them score another single.
The Saints third innings showed promise as they loaded the bases up, with strong batter Tessa McGlynn in the box. A perfect chance to score runs was thwarted when Montana Kearnes picked off Jess Wild at first to close the innings.
There were shut outs in the next four half-innings with some good fielding from both teams.
The Warriors entered their fifth innings needing three runs to invoke the mercy rule, and hits to Dennis and Jess Grant ensured that goal was achieved.
The Warriors will enjoy the bye next Saturday, while the Saints will meet Turvey Park.
