The Riverina Anglican College will go into the top of the table clash with Kildare Catholic College after a 12-7 win over Kooringal High School on Thursday.
Coach Luke Richardson was pleased to come through their biggest so far with another win.
"It was nice to get that benchmark of where we are at," Richardson said.
"It was pretty much what I expected from the game as they were pretty strong in the forwards and got into the grind of it.
"It was pretty ugly and I don't think we played our best game of football but it is still nice to get the win."
TRAC dominated the clash in the first half but struggled to put their advantage on the scoreboard.
They went into the break at 5-0 despite having most of the ball and then extended their advantage before Kooringal got over the line.
Execution is one thing Richardson would like to see improve for their clash with Kildare next week.
"I was a little disappointed our execution wasn't quite there in the first half," he said.
"We seemed to be a be a little bit lost in places and didn't know what to do and didn't back our own ability in knowing whether to kick out for a line out or take the tap.
"Those little things come with confidence and playing with the same group of boys."
Meanwhile Kildare extended their strong start with a 86-5 win over Wagga Christian College.
Richardson is looking forward to the challenge on taking on the competition favourites.
"The next two weeks will really show where we are at but we are building nicely at the moment," he said.
"It will be another really tough test against Kildare with the view in mind we have to win one of the next two weeks to realistically be playing in the final."
Mater Dei Catholic College also continued their winning ways with a 41-0 victory over Wagga High School.
They tackle Christian College next Thursday while Wagga High chase their first win against Kooringal High who have one win to their credit so far.
