Caitlin Howell, marketing manager at Wagga Marketplace said Father Christmas will be clocking on and will be ready to field gift requests and update his naughty and nice lists.
"This year Santa photos will look a little different for our customers," she said.
"Our customers' wellbeing is our number one priority, so physical distancing will be practised during their visit.
"Families will have their own seat next to Santa's chair, and the usual high-5 will be replaced with a wave instead."
An online booking system will be launched for all customers to book in their Santa photo in advance to avoid queuing.

There will also be sanitising stations available at the Santa set, with all surfaces being wiped down after every visit.
"We want to assure our community that Wagga Marketplace is well-prepared to provide Santa photos in a COVID-19 safe way guided by the Shopping Centre Council of Australia," Ms Howell said.
"We encourage customers to bring their own festive props or a favourite toy to create a unique and interactive Christmas memory.
"Although things will be a little different in our Santa photography sessions this year, our team will be working hard to make sure the moment sparkles more than ever."
In early October, the Sturt Mall revealed Santa would not be visiting for the festive season.
"As Sturt Mall continues to follow and encourage health and government advice surrounding social distancing and COVID-19 restrictions, we have regrettably decided that we will not be hosting Santa photos for Christmas 2020," the centre said in a statement released in October.
"Sturt Mall is working on alternative activations to celebrate the festive season in a socially distant manner."
