Workers were informed of the decision on Tuesday, when the company announced it would be unable to continue operating due to bushfires devastating their timber supplies.
The Forest Hill factory sourced timber from areas such as Tumbarumba and Batlow, however this year's bushfires wiped out about 40 per cent of their region's high quality sawlog supply.
The company says they will slowly downsize their 50 staff over the coming years before shutting entirely, however it remains to be seen exactly what the time frame will be.
The company says that around 20 staff will be relocated to the Grafton site, however those positions are still being decided.
