Victoria Police will use a specialised cadaver dog brought from NSW to search for Port Macquarie woman Ruth Ridley in the Pine Mountain region Wednesday.
The 58-year-old was reported missing to police on October 30, 2019.
Despite extensive searches by both Victoria and NSW police around the Corryong and Walwa areas, there's been no sign of Ms Ridley.
Detectives believe she was camping at Neil's Reserve on Murray River Road at Walwa on October 26 and 27.
Her estranged husband, Gary Ridley, 61, was found dead a short distance from the Victoria-NSW border on October 29.
The pair had recently separated.
Wodonga family violence unit Detective Leading Senior Constable Andrew Leonard said it was understood there was up to four additional campsites in the area at the time.
He appealed to anyone who was there that night to come forward.
"To date, we have only spoken to one of those campers and would really like to hear from the others that were in the area at the time," Sen Const Leonard said.
"It's been 12 months since Ruth's disappearance even the slightest detail could be of significant assistance to help us ascertain what has occurred."
Police have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
