NSW RFS Operational Officer Bradley Stewart said crews will undertake a controlled burn covering an area of 14 hectares off Rainbow Drive of Estella starting at 10am and finishing about 4pm on Saturday.
"Hazard reduction is a vital element in helping to reduce the intensity of bush fires," Mr Stewart said.
"This controlled burn will help protect properties and assets in the Estella area and also assist firefighters to control any future bush fires."
Local residents should take appropriate precautions during the operation.
