So it's no surprise he celebrated their goals with more joy than anyone in Sunday's 3-1 extra time grand final win over Hanwood.
The goalkeeper and co-captain was also named player of the match in a cherry on top of a moment he has been striving for for years, with Leeton breaking their 27-year premiership drought.
"I've been here all the way through juniors and we won a lot of trophies, but it was obviously a long between drinks for us after that," he said.
"To win something this year is very special for us and for the whole club, not just the team who played.
"As much as other clubs might have more success, every premiership is special.
"For us to break that drought is the first hurdle to us becoming successful. The first one is always the sweetest and hopefully there'll be more after that."
The Pascoe Cup player of the year award was taken out by Young's Patrick Hislop.
