In July 2020, Strike Force Collett was established by detectives from Murray River Police District to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs, namely methamphetamine, in the Deniliquin area.
UPDATE:
Strike force investigators, with the assistance of the South East Region Enforcement Squad and Dog Unit, arrested a 25-year-old man at a home in Deniliquin, about 7.30am on Wednesday.
A short time later, a 29-year-old man was arrested at a second home in Deniliquin.
The pair were taken to Deniliquin Police Station.
Search warrants were executed at the homes of the two men, a storage container and a third home in Deniliquin.
Officers located and seized 43.6g of MDMA, 30.5g of methamphetamine, 192.5g of cannabis, two cannabis plants, more than $15,000 cash, two electronic stun devices, three gel blaster rifles and ammunition.
They also uncovered a mobility scooter and a number of household items and power tools suspected of being stolen.
A fifth search warrant was executed by investigators from Victoria Police in Cobram, Victoria, with officers seizing cash and methamphetamine.
The 25-year-old man was charged with multiple offences including two counts of supplying prohibited drug.
The 29-year-old man was charged a string of offences including three counts of supply prohibited drug.
Both were refused bail to appear in Deniliquin Local Court on Thursday.
