EARLIER:
EMERGENCY services are searching for a woman who didn't return to her Riverina home on Sunday night.
The multi-agency search was sparked when 56-year-old Sjann Tonkin failed to return home after she was last seen walking into the Murraguldrie State Forest in Carabost, about an hours drive south-east of Wagga, on October 18.
Officers from Murray River Police District were notified on Monday, October 19, when a preliminary search of the woman's property and surrounding bushland was undertaken with the assistance of the NSW State Emergency Service.
The search will resume this morning.
Although she is an experienced bushwalker, police and her family hold serious concerns for her welfare as she suffers from a medical condition.
Sjann is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build with short grey hair. She was last seen wearing a black quilted jacket, black tights and black shoes.
