New Dragons president Adam Gidley is hoping more success on the field will inspire strong junior numbers to help keep the club progressing.
After a couple of years on the committee, Gidley stepped up to the role with Anthony Madden electing to take a step back.
He's hoping a fresh start after 12 months off can build excitement.
"I think it was important especially after the year off," Gidley said.
"Due to work commitments Anthony was stepping down so I thought now was the right time to step up in the president's role and try to get us back on the field across all grades."
Gidley also wants to see the club build back with a more sustainable approach to ensure their juniors have something to aspire to.
"It's a very passionate town across all codes Temora, especially with its league, and we have been quite successful for a small town over the years," he said.
"It is important to get back out there and be successful, not only in first grade but across all grades.
"Success breeds excitement and everyone is very keen to get back on the field and make sure we have the grades there for the kids coming through.
"We have a strong junior system in Temora with a lot of kids and we want them to look up to the seniors so they can have that dream of playing first grade for Temora one day."
The under 18s is the biggest area of concern due to low existing numbers.
It will be the main focus for Gidley.
"We're going to work quite early to get out there and get the numbers to have kids excited to play rugby league," he said.
Chris Wallace was set to coach in 2020 before the Dragons elected not to go ahead of the season.
Gidley said the club has another meeting this month where it will be discussed.
"Chris signed on for 2020 and because of COVID it hasn't happened and we would love to give him another chance as well but at this stage we haven't made any decisions," he said.
"Everything is on the table.
"We have a meeting on the 27th where we will discuss going forward what our preferred options are.
"Certainly I think Chris deserves another chance in some capacity."
Temora junior Josh McCrone returned to Group Nine this season after 161 games NRL and over two seasons with the Toronto Wolfpack.
Their future is up in the air and so is McCrone's.
However Gidley admitted McCrone returning to the club would be a huge boost.
"Josh would be an absolute dream signing for Temora being a local, an extra NRL player and I'm not too sure how things are going with the Wolfpack after their COVID season," he said.
"For me if there was a dream signing coming out of COVID for Temora trying to rebuild a team Josh McCrone would be the perfect signing.
"We're yet to talk to Josh but would certainly love to sit down going forward."
