Albury pair Redouble and Lord Von Costa will travel up to Sydney in the same truck and then start alongside each other after drawing the two inside gates.
Redouble will have his first race start for Mitchell Beer from barrier one, while Lord Von Costa is next door in gate two.
Corowa sprinter Front Page, the second favourite at $4.60, has barrier eight, while Wagga-owned galloper Man Of Peace is in gate nine.
Fender, who is owned in Albury, drew barrier three.
...
ALBURY trainer Donna Scott believes Lord Von Costa is sneaking under the radar nicely for Saturday's Kosciuszko.
Lord Von Costa is a $41 chance with TAB on Saturday despite being one of the few listed winners in the race.
He was beaten 10 lengths by Everest runner Libertini in his only start this preparation but Scott is happy with how things are coming along for the Kosciuszko.
"It's coming around quite quickly. It's starting now to dawn with the barriers out and it's all getting real," Scott said.
"He had a nice gallop on Tuesday morning, we can't do any more. We've had no hiccups and it's all coming to plan.
"I would like a little bit of sting out of the track but I'd rather it be like it is than the few times that we've been up with Bennelong Dancer and had heavy tracks. I don't want a heavy so we're better off with what it is so no complaints here.
"The draw suits fine. He can be a little bit funny but that's why he needed that run. It's no good trialling, he needed to have a race because he can be a bit fresh."
Scott believes Lord Von Costa is a big chance on Saturday.
"My big thing when I go to town is that I hate to have my horses run last. I'll take whatever I can get but I genuinely do think he's a real live chance in the race," she said.
"Even just speaking to one of the owners just then, I can't see why he is that price. Even with what he did the other day, he's done a fair bit which those other horses haven't done.
"We'll just sneak under the radar."
...
ALBURY trainer Mitch Beer could not be happier with Redouble's inside draw.
"I'm rapt. He'll be ridden off the speed anyway but the fence is the shortest way home. If we drew bad, we would have pretty much had to go back to last but with that, I'd envisage him being midfield the fence," Beer said.
"They'll go quick, I think it will be more run like a 1000 than a 1200 and he's best smothered up for as long as possible, he's got a great turn of foot and he can be really explosive in the last 100 metres."
Redouble was sent to Beer from the Bjorn Baker stable specifically for this race. He's a Magic Millions Cup winner and has already amassed $1.2 million in prizemoney.
He will represent the slot of a Junee father and daughter with Tommy Berry to ride. Beer can't wait.
"I'm absolutely rapt with him. He galloped in between races here at Albury on Saturday, he dropped his head and had a squeal going out onto the track (on Tuesday) morning. Everything's just falling into line," he said.
"He'll go there and run up to his best.
"It's exciting times. I can't wait. I thought having a runner in a $1.3 million race that I'd be starting to get nervous and stressing and that but I'm just looking forward to the day."

MAN Of Peace started out with Dave Heywood at Wagga before connections decided to sell the majority share to Canberra trainer Matthew Dale two years ago.
He has since gone on to win six Saturday metropolitan races and take his career earnings past $600,000.
Dale would have loved a wet track at Randwick on Saturday but there is little rain forecast between now and race time.
"I was obviously hoping it would rain to help his chances but it doesn't look likely," Dale said.
"It would assist him and just take the gloss of a couple of the others. It is what it is and it's a really good concept to be apart of that's for sure.
Man Of Peace will be ridden by apprentice Louise Day and is a $13 chance with TAB.
...
LEADING Southern District jockey Blaike McDougall will head into Saturday's big race day in red-hot form.
McDougall rode seven winners in the space of five days this week. He rode trebles at Canberra on Friday, Albury on Saturday and then landed another winner at Queanbeyan on Tuesday.
McDougall has four rides at Randwick on Saturday, three of which are on Southern District horses.
...
A COUPLE of the region's most promising gallopers will also be in action on Everest day at Randwick.
The Donna Scott-trained Galaxy Force and Phil Sweeney's Mr Moppett are both set to contest the $100,000 TAB Highway Class Three Handicap (1100m).
The Chris Heywood-trained Blitzar is also the third emergency for the race.
McDougall will ride Galaxy Force from barrier three and Scott says he deserves his chance at the lucrative Highway.
"I'm really happy with him too. Probably the same thing, I wouldn't mind a bit of sting out of the ground," Scott said.
"He worked with Lord Von Costa on Tuesday and I'm really happy with him. It is a nice race but he's in there with a chance."
Tim Clark will ride Mr Moppett, who has won three of his first five starts, including his only two runs this preparation at Corowa and Leeton.
The Doctor's Son, trained by John Whitelaw at Albury, will contest the $125,000 Benchmark 78 Handicap (1400m).

ALBURY Guineas placegetter La Sante is set to be targeted towards next year's Country Championships.
La Sante kicked off her time under the care of trainer Donna Scott with an Albury trial win last Saturday.
She was sent the horse after the disqualification of trainer Trevor Sutherland, pending appeal.
"I couldn't be happier with him going forward," Scott said.
"What an opportunity the owners have given us and Trevor said when I picked him up that he's a Country Championships horse and I think he is pointing that way.
"He'll probably go around at Albury on the 24th in a 1200m race. Hopefully he can win that then everything is on track for the Championships."
