Named the Men's Shed of the Year in 2017, the Wagga group has continued to expand over the years and develop a variety of interests, increasing the need for indoor space.
Men's Shed president Tony Mason said the expanding group had "outgrown" its existing shed complex, and was building a new 42 by 14 metre structure to house wood turners, recyclers, a small tool museum for the public, beekeepers and more.
"We're still growing, membership's getting bigger and there's more interest groups," Mr Mason said.
"It's just to provide more room and a safe working environment."

Mr Mason said beginning the shed's construction had been made easier with construction firm Excell Gray Bruni recently offering their time unprompted to complete the earthworks to level out the ground for the site.
He said the offer had given the club greater assurance of funding the project, expected to cost just over $200,000, at a time where it has been difficult for many community organisations to fundraise through the coronavirus pandemic.
"Its a real saving, we've budgeted and its very fine, this gives us a little bit of leeway," he said.
"We're a voluntary organisation so funds are extremely tight, (Excell Gray Bruni) have been really good.
"I'd like to acknowledge them for what they've done."
