Traffic and Highway Patrol Command officers were patrolling Edward Street in Wagga at about 10pm on September 17 when they allegedly heard multiple vehicles accelerating nearby.
A yellow and purple Ford Falcon were then allegedly detected a short time later travelling along Edward Street at 120km/h in a 60km/h zone.
A separate white Ford Falcon was also alleged to have been travelling with the group.
Police followed the three vehicles to traffic lights at the intersection of Tarcutta Street, where the purple Ford Falcon allegedly did a burnout.
Police gestured the three vehicles to pull over and spoke to the three male drivers.

The trio each had their licences suspended and were charged with street racing.
One driver, a 21-year-old P-plater, was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for aggravated burnout and is due to appear before Wagga Local Court on Wednesday, November 11.
