Tumut and Gundagai have both only lost once this season, after trading two-point results in the past month.
Coming off a loss to the Blues in the preliminary final, Young coach Nick Hall doesn't believe there will be anything in but eventually landed on the team who prevented their first grand final appearance since 1998.
However he expects it will be close.
"I think they cancel each other out in so many areas," Hall said.
"They are so competitive but I would see both sides be brave enough to have a few shots at them and play a bit of footy."
Hall didn't rule out extra time being needed to separate the two sidelines before just giving the nod to Tumut by two points.
He settled on Zac Masters to win the John Hill Medal.
Southcity captain-coach Nathan Rose and Junee counterpart Trent Schubach also have Tumut to come up with the goods and go back-to-back.
Masters is also Rose's tip to be named man of the match while Schubach favoured his front row partner Jed Pearce.
However departing Kangaroos captain-coach Hayden Ashcroft and Brothers captain-coach Cameron Breust both favour Gundagai.
Breust tipped James Luff to win another John Hill Medal while Ashcroft settled on Dane O'Hehir.
All expect it to be tight with eight points the biggest margin predicted.
