The state's peak corruption authority yesterday released the witness list for week two of the Operation Keppel probe, which is investigating misconduct allegations against the former Wagga MP. Mr Maguire - who resigned as an MP in 2018 - is accused of breaching public trust and using his parliamentary office to benefit himself and other entities, including G8wayinternational/G8wayinternational Pty Ltd.
Wagga RSL Club general manager Andrew Bell and Gerry McCormick, the owner of Cottontail Wines, are among eight witnesses to be called next week. Mr Bell and Mr McCormick are due to front the inquiry on Monday.
G8way's income between 2012 and 2018 included a commission of more than $9000 for the sale of wine, the inquiry heard on Monday.
The inquiry also heard this week that G8way director, and Wagga RSL board member, Phillip Elliott was trying to put together a furniture deal and provide Chinese workers for the RSL's independent caterer. The deals fell apart because of Mr Elliott's conflict of interest.
Also appearing will be Maggie Wang, Tim Howe, Ho Yuen Li, Oatley MP Mark Coure, William Luong, Tim Lakos and Jock Sowter.
The Daily Advertiser does not suggest that any person on the witness list for ICAC hearings has engaged in corrupt activities.
