A man has been denied bail after he allegedly ran from police while holding a loaded gun at a Narrandera home.

Griffith man Todd Simpson was arrested over the alleged incident on Monday and charged with multiple firearm-related offences.
Police officers were called to the home following reports of a disturbance and spotted Mr Simpson allegedly holding a rifle in the backyard.
The 26-year-old is then accused of running from officers.

He was arrested after a short foot pursuit and police seized the firearm - described in court documents as a .22 semi-automatic rifle loaded with nine rounds of ammunition - without incident.
Mr Simpson was charged with possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm, having an unregistered prohibited firearm, and carrying a firearm in a manner likely to injure person/property.
In Wagga Local Court on Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to the possession charges and not guilty to the carrying charge.
Mr Simpson was refused bail by Magistrate Christopher Halburd and will reappear in November.
