Leeton coach Frank Alampi declared it was some of the best football his team has played this year as they cemented with minor premiership with a strong display in Wagga.
Adam Raso made the most of a nice cross to put Leeton 1-0 up just before half-time.
The visitors extended the lead shortly after the break with the first of a double from Conor Edenden before a cracking Fred Gardner strike from outside the box sent Leeton 3-0 ahead.
Justin Curran got one back for Lake Albert shortly afterwards before Edenden completed the job for Leeton by belting the ball into the back of the net from close range.
Alampi labelled it one of Leeton's best efforts of the season.
"Yeah we knocked the ball around really well actually, I think it was probably one of our best performances of the year, to tell you the truth," Alampi said.
"It was good. It was hot, which is a good test for the boys because it's going to get hotter. They knocked it around really well. There was probably 10 minutes there where we didn't in the first half, a couple of little things, but other than that, very happy."
The win also locked in top spot for Leeton from the shortened regular season.
"Extremely happy. It's only half a year but we're getting better and better. Hopefully we can continue our form," he said.
"Last season we finished the season really strong, except for the semis. We were a bit unlucky there in the semi-final but there's a few games to go now and we've given ourselves every chance.
"There's still a lot of hard work to do. It's going to get harder, quicker, faster so we've just got to be ready to go."
Alampi is happy with how his team is played heading into the finals series.
"We're looking alright, we're looking really good actually," he said.
"We've got a couple of little niggles but everyone does. Even though it's only half a year, we've still been training from the start. It feels strange, it's still been a long year.
"It's not just these boys, we've got a really strong squad. Our ressies, minor premiers as well, both minor premiers, now we've just got to finish the job."
Edenden and Raso were both very good for Leeton, while Nick Trifogli also gave them plenty of drive from defence.
Shaun Bryder had a good game for Lake Albert, performing a role in defence, while Mitch Tinnock worked tirelessly all game.
