The 50-metre pool will be open from Monday on limited hours due to COVID-19 restrictions, however Oasis programs supervisor Fiona Claridge said patrons could expect a shiny and clean pool for the start of the summer swimming season.
For the first time ever, Ms Claridge said they hired divers to clean the outdoor pool as opposed to the usual method of emptying the pool.
"The pool is looking fantastic. We're ready to open on Monday but advise patrons there will be changes and we're asking everyone to work with the lifeguards and listen to their advice," she said.
In other news:
She said the pools will have capacity limits to keep to the four square metres per person requirements.
"We're asking patrons when they come in for leisure swimming to try to stay in one pool if they can ... our COVID-safety officer will be doing head counts regularly," she said.
The outdoor pool will be open on weekdays between 6am to 9.30am, 12pm to 2pm and 3pm to 6pm whereas on weekends it will open for swimming at 8.30am to 11.30am and again at 1.30pm to 3pm.
People who wish to use the program or the 25-metre pools will require bookings.
