It was the second time he targeted the business in the space of three months, police say, after a previous armed robbery saw two people threatened before drugs were taken.
Police were called to a pharmacy in the main street of Griffith on Tuesday morning after reports of an armed robbery.
According to police, a man entered the Banna Avenue shop and pulled out a firearm, then ordered staff to the floor.
He allegedly then made off with a large quantity of prescription medication.
A 22-year-old Goolgowi man was arrested at a Noorebar Avenue, Griffith address soon after investigations began, police said.
In other news
He was taken to Griffith police station and charged with two counts of armed robbery and two of possessing a prohibited drug.
Police allege he was involved in a second armed robbery at the same premises on June 23.
The man was refused bail and is due to appear in Griffith Local Court on Wednesday.
