The Wanderers thrashed sixth-placed Woden Weston 5-0 at Gissing Oval on Sunday, to register their second win of the season.
Megan Castle scored a double, while Piper Lockley-Hinschen, Tess Vacari and Ava Tuksar all found the back of the net in the big win.
Wanderers coach Sam Gray was pleased to see it all come together for his team on the one day.
"We've been close in every game, apart from one. It all came together (on Sunday), everyone just clicked, everything clicked, the combinations were there from back to front and it all came together," Gray said.
"It was very pleasing also to keep a clean sheet. That's just gold for us. We can build from that.
"Like I've said all season, we're trying to build. It's a short season, you don't have a lot of time to get everything you want done but we've really knitted it together pretty quickly."
The Wanderers led 2-0 at half-time and went 3-0 up courtesy of a penalty. The visitors went down to 10 women from that moment but the damage was done, as the Wanderers finished off the job with another two goals.
"Some of the finishing was unbelievable. Ava's goal at the end was just brilliant and it summed up our combinations," Gray said.
"I like watching them play, I just sat back and enjoyed it. (On Sunday) everyone just did everything right. From the first whistle to the last whistle. It was a really enjoyable."
The Wanderers women will finish their season in Canberra on Saturday with a game against Tuggernong, who sit one position below them on the ladder.
Tuggernong defeated the Wanderers 2-0 a couple of weeks ago but the Wagga team is looking to get one back and finish the season full of momentum.
"For the club to have this contingent of players together from ressies all the way through is fantastic. We're pushing 23, 24 players that want to keep playing for the club," Gray said.
"For us building, looking forward, we've got trials in just over a month. We're hoping everyone's coming back and some of the feedback we're getting from them, all the girls will be back next year so it's an opportunity for us to continue the work Rob Tuksar and I have started."
