The Reddies extended their unbeaten season with a 39-20 win over Ag College at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday.
It backed up a 49-5 thrashing earlier in the season but it was a very type of contest.
Coach Andy Bedford was thrilled to get back into the grand final after missing out last year.
"It is definitely a good feeling to get there," Bedford said.
"But I have to give credit to Aggies - they were really good on the day.
"I was expecting them to bounce back from last time and that was the kind of game I was expecting and tried to prepare the girls for.
"I thought we were rattled with the intensity Aggies came out with in the first half.
"I looked up at the clock and it was about eight minutes into the game and we hadn't touched the ball yet."
Staines was again the star.
It is the second time the speedster has scored six tries against Ag College this season and she has now scored 31 across seven games after joining the club this season.
Bedford couldn't have been more impressed.
"She was phenomenal again," he said. "She must have been watching me at training and was pretty impressed with what she saw and it spurred her on her that performance."
And it wasn't just her attacking skill that stood out, but her efforts in defence helped contain a strong start from Ag College.
"She was phenomenal both in attack and defence," Bedford said.
"She made two or three try-saving cover tackles and in one of her tries I think she nearly beat the whole team.
"You can't train that as she's confident, backs her ability and it pays off most of the time."
While Staines dominating is nothing new this season, Bedford was even more impressed with the way her tries were scored.
Instead of relying on her individual brilliance Bedford thought the team's build up to a number of them puts them in good stead for the grand final.
"The pleasing thing this week was she scored tries off a couple of really good individual efforts from other girls," he said.
"Tori Nolan dummied, went through and then found her and Lily Hogan did the same thing."
Who CSU faces will be decided at Leeton No.1 Oval on Saturday when Ag College tackles Waratahs.
Waratahs reversed last week's loss to Wagga City to keep their season alive.
The Boiled Lollies took a 27-15 win to boost their confidence heading into finals, but it was Waratahs who delivered in the bigger match up.
Andrea Kirkby scored a hat-trick while Amy Fowler snared a double in the 41-22 victory.
Ag College took a 29-17 win when the teams met earlier this season.
