A FLEET of police vehicles were seen chasing a driver at high speed in Wagga's northern suburbs this afternoon.

Between 10 and 20 unmarked police vehicles, Highway Patrol crews, paddy wagons and standard police vehicles drove in pursuit along Old Narrandera Road near Gobbagombalin just after 4.30pm on Sunday.
A white utility, with damage to the front of the vehicle, was leading the chase which has ended at the intersection of Pine Gully Road and Old Narrandera Road.
It is believed the driver abandoned the vehicle which remains at the intersection, along with police who are currently on scene blocking roads from all three directions.
Police are yet to confirm what the catalyst was for the initial chase.
