The decision to host the event came after the pandemic restricted the size of gatherings the university could otherwise hold.
This will be the first time in the university's history that the event has even been held virtually.
But deputy vice-chancellor Jenny Roberts said the days are perhaps of even greater importance this year a following the pandemic's disruption of year 12 studies.
"Research across the higher education sector indicates that open days are a key touch-point and milestone in a future student's decision-making journey," she said.
