The 24-year-old has already started his rehabilitation after collapsing at Conolly Rugby Complex.

President Dan Ribot is pleased with the progress the 24-year-old is already making.

"I've just visited him and he is in good spirits but obviously it is a pretty serious medical situation," Ribot said.

With an impending code of conduct hearing Herangi didn't take part in the session but sent shock waves through the club.

"He actually didn't train but was there to support the guys," Ribot said.

"At the end of the night we were packing our bags and having a quiet chat when he said he felt faint, basically lost consciousness and was coming in and out of consciousness as we did our best to put him on the ground and into the recovery position.

"It was pretty clear we needed to call the ambulance."

Herangi has suffered from heart conditions in the past and released a post on social media providing an update on his condition emphasising the changes to his speech and movement in his right arm following the stroke.

"I think it is going to be a easy road but a long road," Herangi said.

The 24-year-old has set his sights on being able to attend the first week of finals at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday.

"He couldn't walk (on Wednesday) but is up and walking now and he's a goer," Ribot said.

Herangi is under investigation after allegedly abusing referee James Martel after Wagga City's win over Waratahs last month.

Ribot admitted the club had already been planning on him not being able to take part in the rest of the season.

"We aren't under any illusions about what the outcome of his code of conduct investigation was going to lead to so we were fully preparing ourselves not to have him available on the paddock," he said.

"But that is neither here nor there and all we are concerned about is that he is happy and healthy."
