Coming off a 27-15 win, the two teams will meet again in the elimination final at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday.
Coach Rob Cleland was impressed by how the team came together to get the better of their crosstown rivals.
"We had a few girls out and a few girls injured so it was really good they all pulled together and played as a team," Cleland said.
"That was the most pleasing thing about it all."
Apryll Green and Sarah Deaner both scored doubles in the win with Olympia Achillea crossed for the remaining try.
Cleland is now looking for the side to stick to what worked for them as they look to keep their season alive.
"We now Waratahs are going to back at lot stronger and are obviously a good team and we just have to make sure we step it up another notch to try and compete with them," he said.
Molly Bourke is expected to come back into the side to add to their back line depth.
Meanwhile CSU and Ag College will face off for a place in the grand final after they both scored big wins on Saturday.
Reddies ran riot on the border taking a 116-0 win over Albury.
Tess Staines and Ellen McIntyre both scored five tries in the victory.
Ag College also responded from their only loss of the season, at the hands of CSU, with a 45-15 win over Leeton.
Meanwhile Hay finished their inaugural season without a win after forfeiting their deferred clash with Albury.
