Mater Dei rounded out the pool games with a 28-point victory over their arch-rival, winning 3.12 (30) to 0.2 (2) at Robertson Oval.
The result means the two teams will now meet again in the second semi-final on Wednesday.
Mater Dei dominated proceedings and it was only inaccuracy in front of goal that kept Kildare in the contest until midway through the second half.
The margin could and should have been far greater had Mater Dei converted a number of straight forward opportunities in front of goal.
The win backed up a thrilling victory over The Riverina Anglican College last week as Mater Dei enjoy a strong start to this year's Carroll Cup.
Mater Dei coach Nathan Irvine said his team will take plenty out of the game heading into a rematch 48 hours later.
"Yeah actually knowing what we've got to do to beat them and that we'll have to take our chances on Wednesday night because we can't give them that opportunity again," Irvine said.
"They improved a lot in the second half. I think it was nine inside 50s to eight in the second half so they started using the ball a lot shorter and smarter and our guys sagged off a bit too far
"We'll have to be a bit smarter how we set up defensively Wednesday night because they'll be better."
Irvine credited the way his team played structurally for such a commanding victory.
"The boys set up really well throughout the game which is something we've been working on, only being the second game and it being pretty short," Irvine said.
"So it was good to see the way we set up behind the footy and cut off a lot of their play."
Jamie Mooney won plenty of the ball in the air for Mater Dei and continually sent them forward, while Hamish Gilmore, Angus Grigg and Harry Wichman were also strong contributors.
Will McGowan was strong in defence for Kildare in his tussle with Nathanael Mooney, while Joe Morton and Tom Sase also had good games.
While the pool games have been restricted to a shortened format this year due to COVID, it is expected that it was the first time Kildare has been kept goalless in a Carroll Cup game.
