Both schools are guaranteed a position in Wednesday's semi-finals but their final round game of the competition will determine exactly who plays who.
Kildare opened their campaign with a 14-point loss to The Riverina Anglican College, who then were beaten by Mater Dei Catholic College on Wednesday in a four-point thriller.
If Mater Dei are successful on Monday, they will meet Kildare again in the second semi-final.
For Kildare coach Peter Gaffney, it is all about building to ensure his team peaks at the right time.
"That was a trial game really (against TRAC). You can't fault the endeavour. TRAC were very sharp and will get better. We'll have a good hit-out against Mater and see what happens in the semis," Gaffney said.
"There were four or five boys that didn't play (last Monday) and they'll play against Mater. Then we'll pick our strongest 22 after that."
Gaffney still has his eyes firmly on a fourth straight Carroll Cup victory.
"That's the focus. We're defending champions for three years and we want to defend it again. And there's no reason why we can't," he said.
"Monday was a pretty good indicator that TRAC are pretty hot but they've been training together for quite a long time. Their teamwork is outstanding and we've just got to build over the next couple of weeks to match them."
Gaffney expects Mater Dei to prove fierce opposition.
"The same as usual, a hard battle," he said.
"They're always solid and they've usually got a bit of size on us but it's a little bit different playing in the dry of afternoon rather than the cold, slippery night.
"We'll train and if we can get a couple of things going, a bit of ball movement going, I think we'll be much better."
