While senior men's games were cancelled due to closed grounds, the youth boys games and the women's fixtures went ahead in bitingly cold conditions.
The under 13 girls started the day in snow but it was more than worthwhile as they scored an impressive 2-1 win against second-placed Belconnen United.
A Brooke Emms double - her second in as many weeks - secured the win which put the Wanderers into equal second with United, but behind on goal difference. They're only a win off top spot.
The under 15 girls continued their unbeaten season with Tamara Cochrane grabbing a double in their 2-1 win against Belconnen, who hadn't previously lost this year.
The Wanderers moved to second on the ladder behind Woden-Weston on goal difference and Cochrane is the competition's leading goal scorer with 13. The top two teams will meet in the final round.
The 17s women remain in the top four after their 5-2 loss to Belconnen United.
Sunday was a tough day out for the boys teams.
The under 13s drew 2-2 with Gungahlin after leading 2-0 through Kade Lyons and Dipkar Rai. They hold third spot on the ladder but missed the chance to close in on the top two sides (who had a draw).
The under 14s had a tough time, going down 15-0, while Zac Steele scored in the under 16s' 2-1 loss.
The under 18s went down 3-1 to Gungahlin, with Adam Fouracre their goal scorer. They're one of four teams in equal second, three points off top spot, but their rivals have games in hand.
