It returned a positive result, police said, and the man was arrested and taken to the Temora police station for a secondary test. Results are pending.
A child-at-risk report has been made to Family and Community Services due to three children under the age of seven being in the vehicle at the time.
The man's pregnant partner was also in the car.
The Temora man has been banned from driving for six months after police suspended his licence and issued him a $2484 fine and six demerit points over the speeding.
