Stewards carried out an inspection of the Albury track on Monday afternoon, where they gave the all clear for the meeting to go ahead at this stage, subject to any more rain falling at the course.
There was one significant change, with the Benchmark 66 Handicap over 2000 metres, being shortened to a 1600m race.
The change was due to a problem area of the track near the 1850m mark that could have otherwise forced the meeting to be abandoned.
The Albury track has received 21.5 millimetres of rain over the last seven days but is not renowned for it's ability to dry.
Schulz was happy to give the meeting every chance of proceeding after his inspection.
"The meeting is going to go ahead (on Tuesday), it's a genuine heavy 10," Schulz reported.
"The 2000 metre race is going to become a 1600 metre race because an area of the track near the 1850, which is unsuitable for racing. If it got one spit of rain on it, you probably lose the whole meeting.
"To give the meeting every chance, we're going to move that to the 1600 and just need to hope the rain stays away."
There is rain forecast for Tuesday, which leaves the meeting hanging in the balance.
Schulz explained the Albury track could handle some rain, but nothing substantial.
"I'd be confident from the 1600 metres around to the winning post, it could handle some bit of rain, how much, I'm not sure. It wouldn't be a lot," he said.
"It could definitely handle a couple of mil anyway. At the moment there's a nice breeze blowing, it would be good if it could keep blowing all night and you didn't get any dew in the morning.
"The rest of the track, there was no 50-50 areas so it's in the hands of the Gods now."
Wagga trainer Trevor Sutherland has four of the eight horses in the Benchmark 66 Handicap that has been reduced to 1600m from 2000m and has 11 in across the seven-race card.
