POLICE have charged a woman for allegedly driving at almost five times the legal blood alcohol limit with two children in the car in Wagga yesterday.

The 34-year-old woman is alleged to have crashed a Land Rover Discovery she was driving into a street sign at the intersection of the Sturt and Olympic highways, just before 9am on Thursday, with two children in the back.
The woman and two children were uninjured, while the car and sign sustained minor damage.
Traffic and Highway Patrol Command officers attended and the woman allegedly returned a positive result to a roadside breath test she was subjected to.
She was taken to Wagga Police Station where she underwent a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.240.

The woman was charged with high-range PCA and her licence was suspended.
She is due to appear in Wagga Local Court on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
A child at risk notification has been made.
