The Wanderers went down 2-1 to Canberra United Academy at Hawker Football Centre in Canberra on Sunday afternoon.
A Tess Vaccari goal shortly after the half-time break leveled the scores at 1-1 for the Wanderers, before the Academy team managed to score a winner late in the clash.
Alexandra Gidis scored both of the Academy's goals.
The loss continues a frustrating yet heartening start to the season for the Wanderers' women, who have gone down by one in two of their first three games.
The Wanderers will see Sunday's home game against Monaro Panthers as a big opportunity to register their first points.
The Panthers are also yet to win this season and sit just one point above the Wanderers on the ladder.
Meantime, the Wanderers under 13 girls team shone in Canberra with a 5-1 win over Canberra United Academy.
The under 15s team also had a 1-0 win, while the 17s and reserve grade teams both lost.
