One shocked neigbhour called the fire brigade after seeing the car engulfed in flames right outside his house on Mimosa Drive.
"I got up at 5.30am for a smoke and the car wasn't there. I went inside for a shower to get ready for work, then I heard the horn going off and the dog barking," he said.
"It was parked out the front and already fully engulfed in flames."
Another neighbour managed to capture video footage of the car on fire, after having been woken up by the sound of the horn going off.
"It was a nice 6 o'clock wakeup call," she said.
Turvey Park station commander John Marzol said they were called out at around 6am, and with the combined efforts of four firefighters they managed to extinguish the flames by 6.30am.
Mr Marzol said police investigations were ongoing.
